10 EDU Sites for Powerful Search Engine Rankings

In a world of Social Networking (SMO) older skills like search engine optimization are no longer necessary.

Right?

Wrong!

Search engine rankings are more important than ever to succeed on the Web today. All SMO did was make it more difficult for people like ATG dynamo developers to secure their own search engine market share. A powerful meta description and keyword combined with massive keyword stuffing used to be all it took to get to the top of the major search engines.

Today, it’s much more of a science to succeed online.

Part of that science involves the proper use of backlinks from highly valued .EDU & .GOV sites. However, these can be hard to come by. Perhaps that is what makes their value so huge of a search engine market share today.

Before we look at 10 .EDU sites that I just finished setting up without much difficulty there are a couple of things you should remember when engaging with .EDU related sites.

#1: Don’t MARKET!

You may be able to successfully achieve the account setup process. You may even have the chance to update your profile. But if you start blabbing about how good your “widget” that you have to sale is you’ll be banned and lose the backlinks altogether.

Many .EDU sites provide you with the ability to setup a brief profile.

Do that, and stop.

Now, when looking through the forums look for ways you can provide real value to your audience rather than how they can help you make next month’s mortgage payments.

#2: Don’t Lie

I actually read a post from someone that included the thought of telling someone you were a local for a specific .EDU process to be setup. Whatever happened to the word integrity?

This I know, if you start the process out dishonestly it will sooner or later catch up with you just like it did in the days of keyword stuffing.

#3: Watch Out

.EDU sites come and go. Chances are, when you see this article some of what I am about to mention might not even exist today. That certainly doesn’t mean I was leading you astray, but it does mean that things change quite rapidly on the Internet.

Bottom line?

Keep your eye peeled for new opportunities within the .EDU communities and get involved with the ones that make sense for you to increase your page ranking and search engine rankings.

Top search engines are looking for high quality content to provide to their audiences. Google search engine rankings are no different, work with them and they will indeed be nice to you through the traffic they send.

With that said here are the 10 .EDU sites I recommend to help increase your own Websites page ranking. Because many networks don’t like content links I’ve left these available for you to copy/paste into your favorite browser just add http:// for best results.

Good question.

When striving for your search engine rankings always try to over deliver on your promises.
This will make your live audiences happy which will in turn bring you top search engines results increasing your search engine market share through high quality search engine optimization. If you’re a serious game player in the world of page ranking, then this really is not rocket science.
